My name is Jean Kenzy Leger. I was born in Jacmel, a beautiful city in Haiti and grew up there. I’m joyful now because I am living with my dad and sister in West Palm Beach. My brother is still in Haiti. I hope he will come here soon. I have been living in U.S for sixteen months. Now I speak English, French and Haitian-Creole.

I am studying Translation and Interpreting French and Spanish at the University of East Anglia in the UK. Before, I have worked for several years as a bookseller in the German part of Switzerland, where I have been brought up. My favourite pastime is traveling. I love to immerse myself into foreign languages and cultures. I believe that my exchange year in America, travels to Australia as well as many places in Europe, have greatly shaped my interests and who I am now. I constantly try to improve my language skills and the opportunity to talk German, English, French, Spanish or British Sign Language to people always makes me happy. I also try to live an active and socially enriched life by meeting up with fellow salsa dancers, swimmers, rowers and people from around the world.
